Drummond Wild Onion Allium drummondii
Loose, pink/red clusters of 3/8" wide and 1/4" tall, papery flowers on 6-10" tall stalk. Small leaves at base. The bulb can be eaten like a mild onion. Crushed bulb can relieve the sting of bees and wasps.

Cluster deep pink flowers that do not open fully (like a tulip), 3 wide petals and 3 narrower petals. Several veins in spathe bract. 4"-6" tall stem. Long round basal leaves. Very fragrant, like cloves.

Meadow Garlic Allium canadense
Full clusters of 1/4" tall, 1/2" wide, papery white/pink flowers on 6-10" tall stalk (more like garlic). Instead of flowers, stalk can produce tiny green/red balls which are bulbs (bulbils). Occasionally a stalk will have flowers and bulbils together. Basal leaves are very narrow with a central keel. The bulb can be eaten, mild onion flavor. Crushed bulb can relieve the sting of bees and wasps. This bulb does not grow in large colonies.
