Fumariaceae - Fumitory family
Golden Corydalis (Golden Smoke, Scrambled Eggs) Corydalis aurea
Flower about 1/2" long with a sack like spur at the back. There are 4 petals with the outer two enclosing the inner two and the uppermost petal being the longest. Sprawling plant grows to about 24" long.

Plains Zinnia Zinnia grandiflora>
Flower 1"-1 1/2" wide with 3-6 round petals. Plant grows to about 8" tall. Narrow leaves are thick.

Asteraceae (Compositae) - Sunflower family
Plains Paper-Flower Psilostrophe villosa
Each flower about 1/2" wide in clusters of 3" wide. Petals are very widewith 3 deep lobes. Plant are about 2 feet tall. Pre-bloom clusters have a white web covering that makes the plant drought tolerant. Toxic to livestock.

Rutaceae - Rue family (citrus)
Dutchman's Breeches Thamnosma texana
Tiny 1/8" flowers grow at 3/8" intervals along 10" stem. Flower does not open fully until double seedpod pushes it open. Leaves are thin and short. Eaten by dear but poisonous to cattle, sheep, and goats.
