Saw-leaf Daisy (Spanish Gold) Grindelia papposa (Prionopsis ciliata, Haplopappus ciliatus)
Golden yellow flower about 1 3/4" wide. Plant grows about 5 feet tall. Stem is very stiff with flower cluster at top. Large leaves wrap around stem and have very spiny edges. Livestock do not eat.

Thistle-like flower about 3/8" wide. Bracts have spines. Plant grows to about 2 1/2 feet tall. Leaves are hairy. This plant is hard to kill if introduced into a field.
