Dandelion flower is 2-3" wide with a variation of double petals. Occasionally, these can be found on plants with regular flowers. Plant shown is 3 feet tall.

Flower about 1 1/2" wide. Plant shown 2-3 feet tall. Flowers close at night and reopen mid-day.

Flower about 2" wide. Long, narrow bracts extend past petals and seed ball. Plant grows about 12" tall.

Loasaceae - Stickleaf family
Prairie Stickleaf (Buena Mujer, Good Woman) Mentzelia reverchonii
Flower about 2" wide. Plant grows to 3 feet tall. Scalloped, hairy leaves detach and stick to clothing easily. The flower opens in the evening and closes during the day. Seeds can be roasted and eaten.
