Golden Dalea Dalea aurea

Flower spike 1/2"-1" tall is very hairy, flowers grow in a ring near the top.  Hairy five part leaf 1/2" to 1 1/2" long.  Plant shown about 12" tall.  This plant blooms in early summer then disappears till the next year.

Fabaceae (Leguminosae) - Legume family

Hall's Dalea Dalea hallii

Flower spike 1"-1 1/2" tall with flowers about 3/4" long.  Petals turn red-orange as they age.  Bracts are red.  Three part leaves are about 1 1/2" long.  Sprawling plant shown about 15" wide.  This Dalea blooms spring through fall except in drought.

Dwarf Dalea Dalea nana

Flower spike about 1/2" tall.  Harry five part leaves are about 1/2" long.  Upright to leaning plant shown is about 12" wide and 8" tall.  Plant blooms in spring and disappears till the next year.
